NABARD Grade B Officer exam pattern, Syllabus:

NABARD is the short form of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Fully owned by Govt. of India) is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is an Apex Development Financial Institution in India. NABARD conducts various exams like NABARD Grade A, NABARD Grade B Officers, NABARD Development Assistant, etc.

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the post of Manager in Grade ‘B’ in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS) in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). Candidates can apply only ON-LINE on NABARD website www.nabard.org. NABARD is an all India Apex Organization, wholly owned by Government of India and is equal opportunity employer.

I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification:

Manager (RDBS) – General Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/ PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate or Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 50%) in aggregate from a recognized university or Ph.D

II. Age:

The candidate must be between 21 and 35 years of age.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: Upper age limit may be relaxed by –

03 years in case of eligible OBC applicants,

05 years in case of following applicants:

  1. Applicants belonging to SC,
  2. Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) provided that the applicants have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability or have been released on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidation
  3. Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers who have completed their initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service but whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case, on selection, the Ministry of Defence issues certificates that they would be released within 03 months from the date of receipt of offer of appointment,
  4. Applicants who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01 January 1980 to 31 December 1989
  5. Children/family members of victims died in the1984 riots. Maximum Age relaxation permissible: 10 years for PWBD (General); 13 years for PWBD (OBC) and 15 years for PWBD(SC) applicants.

III. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The selection will be in three Phases as furnished below:

Phase I – Preliminary Examination (Online Exam)
Objective Type: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying 200 marks. Duration: 120 Minutes Composite Time

 

i) Test of Reasoning – 20 marks

ii) English Language – 40 marks

iii) Computer Knowledge –20 marks

iv) General Awareness – 20 marks

v) Quantitative Aptitude – 20 marks

vi) Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India) – 40 marks

vii) Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) – 40 marks

 

Total Marks: 200

Phase II – Main Examination will be online and will be a mix of MCQ and descriptive pattern.
Paper-I – General English: (Descriptive – online through key board)

Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 Marks

The analytical and drafting abilities of the candidate shall be assessed through this Descriptive Paper on General English comprising essay writing, comprehension, report writing, paragraph writing & letter writing.

 

Paper–II (MCQ) Economic and Social Issues and Agri. and Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) for General Posts

Duration: 1 ½ hrs. – 100 Mark

 

Paper–III (MCQ) Development Economics, Statistics, Finance & Management Duration: 1 ½ hrs. – 100 Mark

Phase III – Interview
Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview.

Marks for Interview: 40 Marks

@All NABARD employees satisfying the educational qualification criteria would be eligible to apply. They will be required to pay fee/intimation charges as indicated above at the time of online application, which will be reimbursed on submission of fee receipt only to those employees of NABARD (Staff Candidates) who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post. The status as staff candidate will be verified at the time of interview.

Pay Scale:

Monthly gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 73,600/-.
